I'm glad to see that you're pulling this off. I'm working toward traveling full time by trading online, but I'm interested in playing poker too. I'm also a programmer and I'm writing a little app to calculate all the odds. Do think it's possible to make money playing purely on the odds(disregarding bluffing, etc)? Do you know of any good probability software that's already available?

Sorry to post this in the comments, I couldn't find a contact email address.

Matt, Google: poker office, that's the most widely used prob software that I know of. I don't use it myself. I don't use poker office as it tended to interfere with my decision making process, often suggesting actions that to me seemed bizarre/flat wrong.

Also, maybe you should look at Poker Stove (this is more for post-play analysis).

Honestly, I don't think just playing by odds is quite enough to make you a winning player online (maybe a few years ago when the games were super-soft). I could certainly be wrong however.

My email is available from my profile page, I'll drop you an email shortly with some thoughts and more info.

When I started out, I only knew of the workingnomad.com site, now there are a whole bunch of people making money through travel and writing about it on the internet.

Thanks for the links. I am trying to get some PT's together online. If you have a free minute, drop in to http://www.theptforum.com. The forum is young but with a few people participating I feel as though we can all benefit.
