Time away from the tables

I haven't played a hand of poker for over a week, a sick run of cards at the beginning of the month resulted an 11 buyin downswing. Pretty standard stuff but enough to a) put me on tilt, and b) remind me I'm still, at best, an average No-Limit player.

Most of my play had been on the Ipoker network, so whilst I try and improve my game via cardrunners.com and stoxpoker.com I've downloaded spadeye to datamine as much as possible. I need all the help I can get.

Play the $200 TX NL at ipoker. The games are ridiculously soft. The only drawback are all the short stacks.

Probably not the piece of advice you were expecting, but you should run like hell from iPoker.

All the NL100/200 sharks I know went there months ago and have already left because, obviously with all that cashback, the fish is gone.

Average or below average NL players like us, who were playing the infamous 2/4 3/6 Ongame short limit just a few months ago :-P, should stick to playing with retarded villains, not bonus-rakeback whores.

Nepundo, you've basically summed up what I've pretty much been thinking about ipoker this month. I have such a good deal there for the next 6 weeks or so that I think I have to give it a shot.

Hopefully the table selection/datamining that spadeye allows will help. I'm even considering mixing in some limit to find the fish.

Raz....I know you just want me at your tables ;-D
